First aid for families, parents and community groups in Berkshire

You don’t need a qualification to be prepared. We run regular family and community sessions built around the situations parents and carers actually worry about: what to do if a child chokes, how to do CPR, when to call 999. In just 2 to 3 hours, you will leave feeling genuinely more confident.

We designed these sessions for anyone who wants to feel more prepared in an emergency, with no prior experience needed:

  • Parents and carers of young children
  • Grandparents and other family members
  • Childminders and informal carers
  • Community groups, clubs, and local organisations
  • Anyone who wants a practical introduction to first aid

We tailor every session to the group, but topics typically include:

  • CPR for adults, children, and babies
  • What to do if someone is unresponsive
  • Choking response for adults, children, and infants
  • Bleeding, burns, and minor injuries
  • When to call 999 and what to say

Sessions are informal and hands-on. You’ll practise on real training equipment, including CPR mannequins and a training defibrillator, so you can feel what it is actually like.

How it works

Sessions run for 2 to 3 hours and can be held at your home, a community venue, or another location that suits your group. We cover Bracknell, Wokingham, and the surrounding Berkshire area.

If you have a specific topic in mind or want to focus on something particular (such as baby and child first aid), just let us know and we will build the session around your needs.

First aid foundations

If you’re not sure where to start with first aid, our First Aid Foundations session is exactly that: a relaxed, half-day introduction that covers the essentials: CPR, the recovery position, and how to respond to choking. We designed it for complete beginners, so you don’t need any prior experience to get a lot out of it. Spaces are just £30 per person, or £25 each if you bring a friend. Find out more and book your place.

A note on accreditation

These sessions are awareness-based and designed to build confidence, not to provide a formal workplace qualification. If you need an accredited certificate for work or childcare compliance, take a look at our  paediatric first aid courses  instead.

Sessions are flexible and priced based on group size and content. So Get in touch to discuss what you need and we will sort the rest.
