
First Aid at Work requalification course
If your First Aid at Work certificate is due to expire (or has recently lapsed), this two-day requalification course gets you back up to date. It refreshes your practical skills and knowledge without covering ground you have already been through, so you can renew your workplace compliance efficiently. Available in Bracknell and across Berkshire, with a blended learning option.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who:
- Holds a current First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate due to expire within the next few months
- Has a recently lapsed FAW certificate and needs to requalify
- Wants to refresh their first aid skills and keep their workplace compliant
If your certificate has been expired for some time, you may need to retake the full First Aid at Work course . Get in touch and we will advise you on the right option.
How the course works
Blended learning (recommended)
Complete the theory online at your own pace, then join us for a practical day to refresh your hands-on skills.
Face-to-face (two days)
Prefer to do everything in person? We can deliver the full requalification course at your workplace or at a venue in Bracknell or Berkshire.

- CPR and AED use refresher
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Choking, bleeding and shock
- Fractures, burns and spinal injuries
- Recognising medical emergencies: heart attack, stroke, seizure
- Incident reporting and ongoing casualty management

- Duration: 2 days (or blended learning)
- Qualification: First Aid at Work Requalification Level 3 (VTQ)
- Compliance: HSE-compliant
- Valid for: 3 years from date of requalification

When should I requalify?
You should requalify before your current certificate expires. HSE guidance recommends not leaving it to the last minute. If your certificate lapses, you may need to retake the full three-day course.
