Emergency First Aid at Work course (EFAW)

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is the standard one-day qualification for most UK workplaces. It covers the emergencies most likely to happen at work and meets HSE requirements for nominated first aiders in low-risk environments. Delivered in Bracknell and across Berkshire by a qualified paramedic.

This course is suitable for nominated first aiders in most workplace settings, including:

  • Offices and retail environments
  • Hospitality and leisure
  • Schools and education settings
  • Small businesses and sole traders
  • Anyone who needs a recognised workplace first aid qualification

If your workplace is higher-risk (construction, manufacturing, warehousing), you may need the full  First Aid at Work qualification  instead.

  • CPR and how to use a defibrillator (AED)
  • How to help a choking adult
  • Managing bleeding, shock and wounds
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Recognising and responding to a heart attack
  • Minor injuries and incident reporting

Everything is practised hands-on. You will leave confident, not just certificated.
